Project Manager for Civil, Water & Wastewater
Richard Dinges has over 20 years of civil engineering experience in the public works and private sector developing projects. He is currently employed by Lescure Engineers, Inc. as a Project Manager with a primary focus in water and wastewater systems for municipalities, wineries, and food processing facilities including; water distribution, sewer collection, storm water management, water booster pump stations, water treatment plant design, water tank storage and site planning.
His prior employment was as Project Manager for Summit Engineering, Inc. with primary focus on public works projects and winery projects associated with water and wastewater systems. His water project experience includes water distribution systems, storm drains and street improvements and reconstruction, water booster pump stations, water treatment plant design, water tank storage and site planning. Sewer system projects include sewer collection system planning, pump stations, standby generation unit design, on-site community septic systems. Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) studies include sewer flow monitoring and coordinating efforts with private individuals, cities and contractors with lining sewer mains as a cost effective repair to replacement.
Before joining Summit Engineering, Richard Dinges served for 11 years as General Manager of the Stinson Beach County Water District in Stinson Beach, California. He was responsible for the management and operation of water and wastewater facilities, provide professional and technical support to staff and assistance to the “Board, also designated as Secretary to the Board of Directors. Coordinated all District activities with Federal, State, County, local and private agencies. Mr. Dinges also served as General Manager for the Cabazon County Water District in Riverside, California from and as Water Operations Inspector for Mammoth County Water District in Mammoth Lakes, California
Mr. Dinges early career included employment in large civil engineering firms engaged in development projects including subdivisions, large and small commercial developments and industrial sites and plot plans. He designed street improvements plans, water and sewer plans, drainage plans, grading plans. performed construction inspections and other engineering related tasks as directed by the chief engineer.
Mr. Dinges holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, California. He is a California Licenced Water Treatment Operator State Certificate T3 and AWWA Certified Water Distribution Operator 1.
