Lescure Engineers, Inc. an innovative consulting engineering firm located in Northern California, has a full-time position available for an experienced Water / Wastewater Engineer to manage various project types, including municipal water and wastewater treatment works, collection and distribution systems and privately owned water and wastewater systems for wineries, residential and commercial developments.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the completion of planning, design drawings and specifications and construction management of water and wastewater treatment facility infrastructure, piping, pump stations, lift stations and treatment plants.
The individual must possess solid technical knowledge in areas such as:
- Working knowledge of water chemistry
- Ability to work with civil designers, CADD technicians and land surveyors to produce preliminary designs and construction drawings
- Hydraulic and process calculations
- Equipment selection
- Treatment plant design;
- Water and sanitary sewer modeling
- Pumping station design
- Specifications writing
- Cost estimating
- Working knowledge of local, state and federal clean water regulations and permitting processes
Responsibilities include managing multidiscipline design teams, developing plans and specifications, maintaining quality control, technical review of completed work; report preparation and coordinating activities related to both design and construction administration.
Responsibilities will also include preparation of proposals; preparation and maintenance of project budgets and schedules;; and communications with clients. These persons will also assist with marketing activities and development of new and existing clients.
Requirements:
Project engineers manage multiple clients and their projects, while adhering to contract requirements, company values, and demonstrating both technical and business excellence. We are seeking an individual with strong project management and excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to work with little direction is essential.
The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with an emphasis on water / wastewater as well as California P.E. license. A minimum of five years experience in design of water and wastewater systems is required.
