Chemical Engineer, Project Manager for Water and Energy Efficiency
At the outset of his career, Ed Myers worked in research and development for Chevron and Amoco, focusing on refinery processes development. He designed many of the pilot plants and instrumentation systems used in studies of catalytic desulphurization, conversion of oil shale to fuel and processing aspects including emissions and solids filtration. Mr. Myers became an independent consultant focusing on instrumentation and industrial automation software (SCADA) for a wide variety of industrial and municipal facilities. He developed operator interface software and later worked for an industrial automation software vendor as an application engineer.
After moving to Sonoma County, Mr. Myers worked with the City of Santa Rosa on detailed energy audits including one for a reclaimed water pumping system. During this time he obtained his Environmental Compliance Inspector certification. Ed Myers was hired by Lescure Engineers, Inc. in October 2005 to design and implement a pilot testing program for the Graton Community Services District.
Mr. Myers is a graduate of Ohio State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981.
